20% week 5

      This week me and my partner will work hard and ask for help at the following elementary schools to talk to the school teachers and staff. John Marshall and Mattie Lou Maxwell are the two schools we are going to ask for help. My mom and I are going to to ask for food in an English speaking restaurant. If this works out we will start reading books together and start writing more complex words and sentences. My partner is going to ask the teachers for old books or books they don't need and use them to teach her dad and others. While i am going to teach my mom and dad with the books and writing.

20% 2nd week

This week me and my partner will print out comprehension words. We will use those for the first time. We want to see if our students will be able to read and right them down. If Monica's father can take the classes and succeed we will also ask her neighbors.Also people that we know that do not understand english we will try to teach them how to read this week. If Monica's dad struggles then we will slow down and work with her dad for a longer duration of time. We will print out very basic words and phrases this week. We will also staple and prepare little packets one per week. Me and my partner will start at the kindergarten level and progress to maybe a 5th grade level. That is we have printed out at this moment. We may or may not go further than 5th grade we hope this week is very succesful.

20% project !st week

This week my partner and I will be discussing how we will teach certain people english. We will also ask around her neighborhood and see who would like to be taught english. If enough people agree to be taught english we will do a group session. The person who is going to help me is Monica Medina her dad has agreed to be taught english. We will do a step by step diagram like what we are first going to do then weekly lessons. If this project works out we might work with other people and do that as our job and just do that after school. The last thing we are going to do for the project this week is plan out the days of the appointments, and figure out how long we will do the lessons. The most important objective is to keep the pace with the students. We will also try to teach the students to write and read in english before the end of the project.
